Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The gym is big and comfortable, but the dirty curtains and mold on the ceiling were a big downside. The rooms are reasonably basic, typical for a Mercure hotel.
The hotel is a mixed bag. The rooms are bright and clean, with a big bed and a great shower, but unfortunately, they had a funny smell that was musty with a moldy scent. The service is top-notch; the staff is amazing and very professional. The location is excellent, situated in one of the best neighborhoods in Salvador, very safe, and ideal for tourism. The dining experience offers a wide variety of foods and is super good, although there was a Welsh pastry that stood out. The facilities are good, but a tad lacking in some areas.
The hotel is quietly located in Rio Vermelho, offering a nice and convenient setting close to the beach and great restaurants. The rooms are reasonably basic as expected from a Mercure but appear outdated and lack freshness. The service is very nice and attentive, making the stay enjoyable. The dining experience is above average with a variety of options. The facilities are in need of refurbishing but overall decent.
